Born and raised in the south, Monty "Motyroc" Pernell knew as a young boy that music would play a major role in his life. Exposed to soulful voices like Bobby Womack, Sam Cooke, and Paul McCartney, Motyroc soon fell in love with music. After spending a few years with a gospel A cappella group, he began to develop a good ear for harmony, and what started out as something to do to stay out of trouble, soon became a passion.

Over the years there were many failed attempts and disappointing ventures. Promises that weren't kept, agreements that were broken, and in many cases just left hanging without explanation. It was then that Motyroc took all matters pertaining to his musical efforts into his own hands. He began exploring his abilities to create melodies, writing and producing songs, and performing live. He unselfishly continued dedicating his time to honing a craft he wanted to call his own and embracing the idea of making music.

Today the hard work isn't over, as a matter of fact it's being turned up a notch. While the world is in a confused and troubled state, Motyroc is diligently working to deliver music that not only feels good, but touches the lives of mankind all across the globe.

In what can't be defined as yet another venture, Motyroc has teamed up with John Moise of Momusic Entertainment to boost his musical efforts and place himself in a position thats more deserving.
